The Great Green Frog February 18, 2003

Homework
Once I sat,
Upon a log.
To contemplate,
A great green frog.
The sun shown
Down upon its back.
Dancing with shadows,
And spots of black.
Once I sat,
Upon a log.
And visited,
A great green frog.
Leaves of gold,
Were all around.
They all had fallen,
To the boggy ground.
Once I sat,
Upon a log.
Held conversations with,
A great green frog.
He remarked,
On the cloudy day.
And I told him:
"It's better than the bay!"
Once I sat,
Upon a log.
To watch a silly,
Great green frog.
It is almost,
Time for him to go.
For the weather,
Is going to turn to snow.
Once I sat,
Upon a log.
And missed my friend,
The great green frog.
NOTE: This was an assignment for my CCV Creative Writing Poetry onsite class with Michelle Demers.
