A classy apartment in NY.

The apartment is very classy, there are expensive looking painting, and even the furniture looks straight out of a museum. Very neat and tidy.

Pierre is lounging in his apt., there is a knock off stage.

Pierre

Enter.

Monica

You really have a flair for the dramatic don't you?

Pierre

Now why would you say that?

Monica

Because of what you did to me.

Pierre

Oh. Are we going to discus that again?

Monica

I think we should clear some things up.

Pierre

Such as?

Monica

Well, for starters I went to college to be an actress. How can you deny me that?

Pierre

I deny you nothing. You wanted to waste your time and mon...

That's so like you! You don't give a damn about how much time and effort I put into doing this! I spent good years of my life learning how to be good on the stage...

Pierre

Being good on the stage is not something you can learn through schooling and books. One has to have the talent, the spark, the...

Oh give it up. It's not like your all that much better than I am.

Pierre

Right. That's why I am getting the scripts and your not, huh?

Monica

I'm not getting parts because someone in this room has admitted to sabotaging my career. It's not fair! Why can't you just let me make my own mistakes my own way?

Pierre

Because I am a better parent than that. I don't want you to go through the hell I went through when I was your age.

Monica

What hell? You had everything you every wanted! Including any part you desired!

Pierre

I had to work my way to the top! And so would you! I wanted to protect you from the ingrates out there.

Monica

And what about the ingrates in here?

Pierre

Leave.

Monica

But I just got here...

Pierre

Leave.

Monica exits crestfallen. Dim lights. Drop curtain.
